Soft tissue work
Soft tissue work is hands-on work on the muscles around the spine, hips and shoulders, done with your clothes on.
It uses light to moderate pressure that you control. It is for adults who want their muscles worked on alongside, or instead of, an adjustment. The doctor asks about pressure throughout.

What a visit includes
A short talk
You say where you would like the work and how much pressure feels right.
Time on a lowered table
The table lowers to chair height, and a step stool is there if you want it.
Hands-on work
The doctor works on the muscles you chose, with your clothes on, and checks in as it goes.
What to do at home
The doctor may show you a simple stretch to practice at home, if you want one.
How long, how often, and what we do not claim
How long and how often
The doctor sets a plan after the exam and changes it as you go. We do not promise a number of visits.
What we do not claim
That soft tissue work fixes a problem for good
That it works the same for everyone
That it replaces care from your medical doctor
How it is paid
Medicare covers manual spinal manipulation only, so it does not cover soft tissue work. We tell you the cost before it begins.

Questions about this care
Do I need to undress?
No. You keep your clothes on, so wear something comfortable that lets you move.
What if the pressure is too much?
Say so and the doctor eases off. You control the pressure from start to finish.
Ready to book?
Soft tissue work is not covered by Medicare. We tell you the cost first. See how fees work, or book a first visit.
- A sudden severe headache or neck pain, dizziness, trouble speaking or seeing, new weakness or numbness, numbness in the groin or saddle area (between the legs and buttocks), or new bladder or bowel trouble needs emergency care now. Call 911 or go to an emergency room.
