Gentle adjustments

A low-force adjustment moves a joint with light, slow pressure, with you seated or lying on a table that lowers to chair height.

This is for adults who want a chiropractor's hands-on care without twisting or sudden force. The doctor chooses the method with you after the exam and changes it if anything is uncomfortable.

What a visit includes

  • A conversation first

The doctor asks about your goals and how your days go.

  • A hands-on exam

The doctor checks how your spine and joints move and explains what was found.

  • Care at your pace

If an adjustment is right for you, the doctor explains it first and asks before each one.

  • Before any neck adjustment

The doctor explains the risks, including the rare serious ones, and you decide whether to go ahead.

How long, how often, and what we do not claim

  • How long and how often

The first visit takes longer than later ones. The doctor sets a plan after the exam and changes it as you go. We do not promise a number of visits.

  • What we do not claim

    • That an adjustment fixes a problem for good

    • That results are the same for everyone

    • That care replaces your medical doctor

  • How it is paid

Medicare covers manual spinal manipulation only. Exams, x-rays and other services are not covered. We tell you the cost before care begins.

Questions about this care

Will an adjustment hurt?

The pressure is light. Tell the doctor right away if anything is uncomfortable and the method changes. Some people feel sore for a day afterward.

Do I have to lie down?

No. Many adjustments are done seated, and the table lowers so you can sit on its edge before you lie down.

Can I say no to a step?

Yes. You can say no to any step, at any time, and the doctor will go on with what you are comfortable with.

Ready to book?

Medicare covers manual spinal manipulation only. See how fees work, or book a first visit.

  • A sudden severe headache or neck pain, dizziness, trouble speaking or seeing, new weakness or numbness, numbness in the groin or saddle area (between the legs and buttocks), or new bladder or bowel trouble needs emergency care now. Call 911 or go to an emergency room.
