Medicare
Medicare and coverage
Medicare covers manual spinal manipulation only. Exams, x-rays and other services are not covered.
Here is what that means at this clinic, in plain words. If a sentence here does not match your plan, call us and we will go through it with you.

In plain words
What Medicare covers
Manual spinal manipulation, when the doctor finds it is needed. We bill Medicare for it.
What Medicare does not cover
Exams, x-rays, soft tissue work, exercise instruction and other services. We tell you the cost of these before we do them.
What you pay
After you meet your Part B deductible, Medicare pays 80% of its approved amount for covered care. You pay the other 20%, or your supplemental plan does.
A notice before uncovered care
Before care Medicare may not cover, we give you a notice called an ABN. It states what we expect it to cost, and you choose whether to go ahead.
If you have another plan
Medicare Advantage and supplements
These plans have their own rules. Call the number on your card and ask about chiropractic care, or ask us for the questions to ask.
Paying on your own
You have the right to a Good Faith Estimate. Ask us, and we give you a written estimate before the visit.
