Questions
Questions, answered
What happens at the first visit?
You talk with the doctor, the doctor does an exam, and then explains what was found, what the options are and what each costs. Nothing starts until you have heard it and said yes. The first visit page has the full list.
Is chiropractic care safe?
Every kind of care has risks. Most people feel only mild soreness, and rare serious risks exist, especially with neck adjustments. The doctor explains them before any care, and may send you to your medical doctor first if something needs to be checked.
Will it hurt?
Low-force methods use light pressure. Tell the doctor right away if anything is uncomfortable and the method changes. Some people feel sore afterward; ask about it at your next visit.
How many visits will I need?
The doctor sets a plan after the exam, based on what was found and what you want, and changes it as you go. We do not promise a number of visits.
Do you take my insurance?
We bill Medicare for manual spinal manipulation, and many other plans. Call with your plan's name. How fees work and the Medicare page explain the rest.
What if I do not use insurance?
You have the right to a Good Faith Estimate. Ask us, and we give you a written estimate before the visit.
Do I need x-rays?
Only when medically necessary. The doctor explains why, and tells you the cost, before any are taken.
Can my son or daughter come with me?
Yes. Family members are welcome in the room, and the doctor asks you first whether you want them there. The families page has more.
What if I am seeing another doctor or therapist?
Tell us at your first visit. With your permission we can share what we find with your other providers, and we send you to your medical doctor when something is outside what we do.
What if I need to change a visit?
Please call us as early as you can. Ask the front desk about our cancellation policy.
